Devon Farms International is located in Purcell, Oklahoma in the United States.  Purcell is known for having one of the largest concentrations of great breeding farms and some of the greatest breeding stallions in the world.   Purcell is located thirty minutes south of  Oklahoma City off of I-35 an easy drive from the OKC airport and the fairgrounds. 

     Devon Farms is owned and operated by Mark and Deanna Akin.  Devon Farms is dedicated to the breeding and raising of World Champion Quarter, Paint and Appaloosa horses.  Although they do stand and conduct collections on several stallions of other breeds their main focus is on the stock horse.  Our mission is to make semen from World Class stallions both from their own and other farms available at a reasonable rate to people all over the world.  They feel it is their responsibility to do what ever is necessary to make this a reality. 

Devon Farms began their quest by freezing semen on the stallion Impress Me Shanon for a breeder named Sarah Clarke in New Zealand.   Thanks in great part to Sarah one thing led to another and we are now freezing and distributing semen all over the world.  They are taking the personal approach by personally delivering semen to breeders at every opportunity.  They feel by actually going and meeting the people they are doing business with this will make for a much smoother relationship.  As anyone who has dealt with frozen semen internationally will tell you there are many problems that can arise.  We are able to avoid almost all obstacles by actually being there when the semen is delivered.  While traveling they are giving clinics on all subjects from breeding to showing.  They are actually proving to people that their breeding and training goals can be reached without over burdening them financially.

Devon Farms has bred raised and trained World Champion horses in several associations and now concentrates primarily on the breeding.   With forty years of cumulative experience they specialize in mares and stallions with breeding issues at the farm as well as shipping cooled semen around the United States, Canada and Mexico.    Their ultimate goal is to give people a place they come to rely on to breed their mares, purchase their show horses or have questions answered with ease and reliability.
